What We Believe
We believe that there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live (1 Cor. 8:6), and this life we live by the Spirit (Gal. 5:16).
We rely on the Bible as the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
We focus on Christ's redeeming work on the cross.
We emphasize the "new birth" as a life-changing religious experience, and entry point of the Holy Spirit into the heart of the believer.
We emphasize the sharing of our faith.
We uphold the Baptist distinctive of baptism by full immersion on confession of faith.
We believe a great Commitment to the great Commandment and the great Commission will grow a great church!
The Great Commandment
Jesus replied, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbour as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

The Great Commission
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Our Affiliation
Westview Baptist Church is associated with the Baptist General Conference of Canada and United States. We are an autonomous congregation, that is we are responsible for our own affairs under Christ. We are a democratic organization with a representative form of governance.
